Post Doctoral Scientist
Research interests
My PhD research (2005-2009) was conducted in "Biotic Interactions and Plant Health" laboratory, (INRA, CNRS and University of Nice-Sophia-Antipolis, France) under the supervision of Dr Pierre Abad and Dr Bruno Favery. My major contribution was the characterization of a plant Microtubule-Associated Protein MAP65-3 protein, showing its essential role for nematode-induced giant cell ontogenesis and nematode development (Caillaud et al., Plant Cell 2008). In a second part of my PhD, I have identified and have started to characterize a plant cell cycle checkpoint (Caillaud et al., PLoS ONE 2009). In addition, I participate to the annotation of M. incognita genome, the first plant parasitic nematode sequenced (Abad et al., Nature Biotechnology 2008).
In September 2009, I joint the Jonathan Jones's Lab to study in planta, the modes of action of candidate effectors from Hyaloperonospora arabidopsidis. This Post doctoral project POETIC " Functional Analysis of Plant-pathogenic Oomycete Effectors and their Targets Inside Plant Cell is now supported by an EMBO long term fellowship ALTF 614-2009.
